Overview

This page describes the features that are supported by the API (go to the API Reference for details on the involved endpoints) for HVAC systems whose internet gateways are paired with your company via HomeCom Pro. Additional features will be supported in upcoming releases.

User & System Identification

Get the components and associated metadata of a registered HVAC system, as well as contractual user information.

This information can for example be used for the initial integration of an existing HVAC system.

Remote Monitoring

Remotely monitor the status of your HVAC systems. There are two different mechanisms for doing so.

Request Data on Demand

Request data on demand about the status of a registered HVAC system, for example the current appliance status.

Event Notifications

Receive asynchronous event notifications that are sent to a webhook that can be registered for this purpose. Such events can, for example, be errors that occurred, information about a system coming online / offline, or data points such as the current energy consumption. The list of events that are sent is prefiltered to ensure only relevant information is provided.

More information about receiving events can be found in the Webhooks section.

Remote Control

Remotely modify settings and trigger functionalities of HVAC systems. This can include, for example, activating / disabling the charging of extra hot water, or configuring time programs.

Time Programs

The API allows to configure time programs for the heating and domestic hot water circuits of an HVAC system. All Heat Pumps have a default heating and domestic hot water circuit time program. This default time program can be overridden by the user. In case there is a reset of the Heat Pump controller, any changes the user may have done to the time program will be lost and the default time program will be restored.

Remote Maintenance

The Remote Maintenance feature enables partners to perform advanced configurations and adjustments to their HVAC system from a distance. This includes features such as configuring silent mode or adjusting the heat curve offset to optimize heating performance. All endpoints in the API Reference part of the Remote Maintenance feature have been marked in the summary as such.

note

It is crucial to note that changing these configurations needs to be done by experts only (endpoints should not be exposed to end-users) because it might affect the comfort of the end users by decreasing the energy efficiency or increasing the load on the system causing malfunctions.

warning

Any configurations made through Remote Maintenance are the sole responsibility of the partner and not of Bosch.
