System Architecture
The Local API allows partners to establish an encrypted connection without the need to set up the Bosch/Buderus End user app or establish a connection to the Bosch backend. The physical connection is made via the gateway's Ethernet port or via WLAN to the router. The Bosch apps can be used in parallel, but it is not mandatory for the local operation. We highly recommend it for a comfortable user experience with the heat pump and to ensure the gateway always has the latest update.
