Heating temperature control

This interface allows to adapt the heating requirements to suit the user's needs and take advantage of the most advantageous tariff structures. This empowers households to capitalize on flexible tariff options, effectively reducing energy costs.

Details

The current room temperature set point (/heatingCircuits/hcX/manualRoomSetpoint), can be adjusted directly. It is only valid in the "manual" operation mode without an active time program. The current active operation mode for the heating circuit, selected by the user, can be read in "heating operation mode" (/heatingCircuits/hcX/operationMode).

The time program for heating (mode: "auto") is not supported by the interface and should be avoided generally with a heat pump in terms of compressor start-up and customer heat comfort.

The only read resource "requested room temperature for heating" (/heatingCircuits/hcX/currentRoomSetpoint) reflects the currently valid target temperature for the heating circuit. This is usually the desired temperature set by the user but can be overwritten by special modes of the heat pump.

warning

Generally, avoid significant changes to the room temperature. Drastic temperature fluctuations are inefficient for a heat pump system, leading to reduced efficiency and comfort. We recommend limiting room temperature reductions to a maximum of 1-2K and allowing no more than two setpoint changes per day in the time program.

Further info values for relevant temperatures in the system are:

  • Outdoor temperature, measured on the outdoor sensor of the heat pump system(/system/sensors/temperatures/outdoor_t1).
  • Current room temperature in the heating circuit, measured by any remote control in the system or calculated based on the heat curve (/heatingCircuits/hcX/roomtemperature).
  • System supply flow temperature, measured after heat pump compressor and e-heater in the buffer tank, as final supply temperature in the heating system (/heatSources/actualSupplyTemperature).
